Job Description: Managing a busy in-house editorial team and freelance music notesetters to meet deadlines for the production of performing materials and new printed music publications. The role includes responsibility for initiating and developing commercial print products in line with the company’s publishing strategy.
Responsibilities include • Scheduling, budgeting and cost-control • Ensuring high standards of accuracy and presentation, and consistent application of house style • Regular consultation with house composers over new works • Staff training and development • Liaison with our sheet music distribution partners Schott Music and Hal Leonard to ensure effective production, sales and marketing of new titles
Skills required: The successful candidate will have a music degree, experience of project management, familiarity with the top notesetting programmes and awareness of new technical developments. You will also be calm under pressure, have excellent influencing and leadership skills, an interest in contemporary music, and an unwavering commitment to quality. A working knowledge of French and/or German would be an advantage.
