Edgar Meyer is an innovative composer and vibrant performer in a variety of genres from classical to bluegrass * Virtuosity and musicianship inspired one critic to call him, "quite simply, the best bassist alive" * Has composed pieces for violinist Hilary Hahn, the Emerson String Quartet, the Minnesota Orchestra, and the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, among others * Winner of Grammy award (Best Classical Crossover Album) for Appalachian Journey, with Yo-Yo Ma and Mark O’Connor
