One of three inaugural B&H Emerging Composers * Works explore boundaries of pitch and noise, classical and rock, convention and invention * Evolving rhythmic cycles and industrial sonorities * Writes for existing instruments, re-imagining their roles, involving electro-acoustic elements, or creating instruments from found materials * 1993-94 Lloyds Bank/BBC Young Composer of the Year * Winner of the 1997 Royal Philharmonic Society prize * Commissioned by the New London Orchestra, the Oxford Contemporary Music Festival, The New London Children's Choir, the BBC, the Eliza Miller Dance Company, and the London Sinfonietta *  A fellow at the Aspen Music Festival in the summer of 2007

Junk (2002) for solo saxophone, solo percussion, and large ensemble
B+E (with aggravated assault) (2006) bass clarinet, percussion, piano, electric guitar, violin, cello
Gauze Vespers (2007) for clarinet, percussion, piano, violin, cello
O Death (2005-07) for 2 saxophones, trombone, percussion, piano, electric guitar
