Antonio Ruiz-Pipó

gifted pianist, composer and musicologist * saw himself in the tradition of Albéniz and de Falla * studied with, among others, Alicia de Larrocha, Alfred Cortot and Jean Françaix * recieved numerous awards in Spain and France * perfomed on many stages, and together with many artists of renown * worked for the national Radios of Spain, France and Canada * taught in Paris and Châteauroux * founder and artistic director of the Bonaguil festival * output as a composer grew stronger in his later years * wrote chamber music as well as for orchestra and for voice * had a predilection for piano and guitar * his neoclassical style is highly personal and shows a vein for his Spanish racins
