| tba | US Army Concert Band and Soldiers' Chorus Washington, DC The Legacy of Aaron Copland In August and September 1999, the Field Band will be recording two CDs on "The Legacy of Aaron Copland," one by the Soldiers' Chorus and one with the Concert Band. These reference recordings are researched to authenticate standard performance practices. The enclosed 32-page booklets include historical background on the composer, detailed program notes on each selection and vintage photographs. These reference materials are distributed free of charge to educational institutions throughout the country. Previous releases in this series are in use in over 5,000 schools. |
