The new performing edition of Cherubini's Medée receives first performances at the Theater der Wien (opening 6 March) and at the Theatre de la Monnaie in Brussels (12 April to 2 May). The edition restores the work to the composer's original intentions, removing the many alterations and music added in later centuries.
