Imant Raminsh was born in Ventspils, Latvia; emigrated to Canada at an early age and studied at the Royal Conservatory of Toronto, University of Toronto, Akademie Mozarteum, Salzburg, The University of British Columbia and the University of Victoria * Music is tonal, romantic; has received many commissions and performances worldwide * Founding conductor of the New Caledonia Chamber Orchestra (now the Prince George Symphony) and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Okanagan, among others

Magnificat for Mezzo Soprano solo, SATB chorus and orchestra or piano
Gloria for SATB chorus and orchestra or piano
