Trinity Rock & Pop Guitar exams are offered at all grades from Initial (beginner's level) to Grade 8 (advanced). Learners will develop their playing skills beginning with basic chords and positions, picking and damping techniques, and moving on to new instrumental techniques such as hammer ons and pull offs, bends, slides and harmonics. Session Skills will help to develop improvisation and playback skills - both important for guitarists.

Performing is central to the Rock & Pop exams - you will play three songs and choose to complete one of two Session Skills. You also have the option to include one of your own original songs, so you can make the exam your own and show off your individual talent.
