A suite of traditional tunes arranged for elementary string orchestra with piano accompaniment and parts on CD-ROM.

Arriving in the fresh, new format of score plus CD-ROM, Simply 4 Strings is the first ever ensemble series from the favourite string-writing team and creators of Stepping Stones and Waggon Wheels, highlighting well-known melodies from around the world, arranged for elementary string players.

All string parts are available on the CD-ROM to download and print. All the parts are easy yet rewarding, ensuring everyone can join in, even absolute beginners. Includes optional parts for viola and double bass.

Composers’ note:
This suite of pieces includes very easy parts for violins, violas, cellos and basses, so that even very new players can experience the fun of ensemble playing. As viola players are often in short supply, the two viola parts mostly double other instruments and are therefore optional, as is the double bass part. If viola players are available, the other instruments could be tacet in appropriate places.
