first issued in 1901 by Joplin's friend and publisher John Stark, this rag has remained one of the most popular of Joplin's distinctive ragtime pieces. Although originally written for piano his works have been transcribed into all types of musical formats. This version for string quartet complements the Fentone Music editions of The Entertainer and Maple Leaf Rag. All are fun to play and make a delightful concert encore item.
