John Adams discusses the writing process and story behind his newest evening-length oratorio, The Gospel According to the Other Mary.

Adams' new work, commissioned by the LA Phil with a libretto by his longtime collaborator Peter Sellars, premiered at Walt Disney Concert Hall on May 31, 2012 with Gustavo Dudamel leading the LA Phil in four performances.
