The tunes in this book have been carefully selected to provide enjoyment for beginner and early grade cellists together with an incentive to practice as their technique and musical expertise progresses. The pieces are arranged gradually to introduce various technical aspects necessary for good cello playing. These include bowing, syncopation, dotted rhythms, simple left hand extensions and culminate in some basic fourth position work. Chord symbols are provided for piano accompaniments.
