Pietro Mascagni - Ave Maria - Intermezzo Sinfonico fr Cavalleria

Mascagni's Ave Maria, an Intermezzo Sinfonico from his world-famous Opera Cavalleria Rusticana. The Opera was written in 1890, and premiered in Rome in May of that year to huge acclaim and success. Ave Maria is a piece of two halves with a delicate and quiet opening that give way to rousing fortissimo. Suited to High Voice, and with a full Piano accompaniment, the text is presented in both German and Italian.
