"Although the ABRSM editions are known for being slightly more expensive than any other editions, good value is exchanged for this money. Some notes on interpretation are given at the beginning as an aid. Extensive editorial notes are also given on the score, but not in a distracting manner. Furthermore, original ornaments seem to be better preserved than in any other edition I've seen (alternate ornaments are often given where sources don't agree). Unfortunately, without sufficient background knowledge, all the additional information can be confusing, so I cannot recommend this edition to those who have neither experience in playing Bach nor teachers. In other aspects, the binding is secure, page turns are sympathetic, and the printing is spacious and very clean. ABRSM has also separated the English Suites into two volumes to help the book keep the page better (that is, it does not turn on its own)."
