"These pieces are what I use to teach my beginning cello students how to read music. You don't have to teach them exactly in order but once they have finished these pieces they can read music. The children love to hear an accompaniment to their own playing which in turn fuels their eagerness to keep practicing. These books are a staple in my teaching. I could not teach without them."
