Hans-Günther Bastian has been professor of music education and systematic musicology at the universities of Bonn, Paderborn and Frankfurt/Main since 1980. He gave lectures at choir directors' conferences of the Deutscher Sängerbund and was a jury member at several national choir competitions.Wilfried Fischer has been professor of music education with primary focus on the artistic practice of music lessons including choral conducting at the Flensburg Pädagogische Hochschule as well as at the universities of Cologne and Paderborn since 1972.
