Beethoven left a vast collection of short piano solos that he crafted throughout his career. Included in these are the Bagatelles - by definition short trifles in a light vein - but in Beethoven's hands, miniature masterpieces. By far the most famous of these pieces, & possibly of Beethoven's entire output, is the bagatelle "Fur Elise".
