Benjamin Britten - String Quartet No3 Op94 Score

Faber edition - Benjamin Britten's String Quartet No3, Op94, Study Score. With hindsight, we know it to be Britten's last major work. At the time of the Quartet's completion, a year before his death, he was still planning large-scale works. But he was well aware that his time was limited, & it is neither imagination nor sentiment that see the shadow of death over the music. Yet the music itself also speaks of life.
