About
Camillo Carlsen was known as an outstanding, impulsive improviser on the organ. In 1911-46 he was organist at Roskilde Cathedral. He was a pupil of Otto Malling - also a composer. Besides chamber music Carlsen's output includes a number of organ works in a highly expressive romantic style with the mighty Sinfonische Suite as the most important.
