Rued Langgaard, composer

Randers Chamber Orchestra

Rued Langgaard was an odd, lonely figure in the history of music, but at the same time one of the greatest musical genuies Denmark has ever known. His music encompasses the whole range from the Romantic to the Mordernist style, and is by turns monumental, expressive, and visionary. This disc gives examples of some of the chamber music he wrote between 1915 and 1923.
