This is the first published work of composer John Barnes Chance and is widely recognised and acclaimed for its wealth of rhythmic and melodic inventiveness.  The work begins with an intriguingly strange introduction evocative of tribal ritual music.  The Dance is a fast, exciting, syncopated section that will be a delight to the percussion section.
