This volume of Chopin's walzes includes detailed notes on the use of pedalling in these works and on the technical problem of playing skips in the left hand.In the book pedal marks are almost conspicuous by their absence. Where there is a continuous series of bars of similar character, the pedalling is indicated in the first of these bars. Elsewhere pedalling is given for special passages; for the rest the student should rely on his musicianship and faculty of listening.
