Exotic and exciting certainly describe this familiar work from Samson and Delilah by Saint-Saëns. This masterful transcription for band by Jay Bocook presents challenging (yet certainly attainable) parts for the woodwinds, as well as dynamic writing for the brass and percussion sections. The vivace section to the end is simply hard to beat for full-throttle power and excitement. (4:20)
