Compact Winds is a series for wind groups of three to five parts (occasionally more). The series features flexible instrumentation at Easy and Intermediate levels and this is designed so that all pieces are playable by clarinet choir alone as well as mixtures of wind instruments. Also, at these grades more than one player per part may participate and Easy and Medium music is therefore published with a Double set of parts. At Easy and Intermediate level a full score showing all parts in C and in every transposed mode is included with every set, making them ideal for use in school.
