The first performance of this edition (sung in English) was given on 23 June 2002 in the Victoria Theatre Halifax, by the Halifax Choral Society and the North of England Chamber Orchestra conducted by John Pryce-Jones.
The first German performance was given on 11 June 2004 in the Moritzkirche, Halle, with the MDR Rundfunkchor und Sinfonieorchester conducted by Howard Arman.
