Heaven Somewhere, a high energy gospel number known by many names, was championed by Sister Rosetta Tharpe, who scandalized the gospel singers of her day by mixing the secular swing style into a sacred genre. In keeping with Sister Rosetta's stylistic blend, this arrangement has a funky doo-wop flavoured middle section that reminds us just how many different rock styles go back to the gospel source.
