Scott Joplin is famous as a composer of rags. In this book, arranged by Colin Cowles, viola players can enjoy tunes such as 'The Entertainer', 'Maple Leaf Rag', & 'The Chrysanthemum' as well as others not quite as well known: Magnetic Rag, Rag Time Dance, New Rag, Fig Leaf Rag, Pleasant Moments. The accompanying CD contains professional performances of all the melodies as well as the accompaniment only. A separate Viola part is included with the book.
