"In this arrangement, Tony Small has taken six movements from the original work to make an accessible and pleasant suite of pieces. There is an abundance of percussion in the original, but this has evidently been borne in mind in the choice of songs, as they all work effectively for brass alone.

The brass writing is well thought out and idiomatic, and Tony Small has done a fine job in condensing such a large work so effectively into quintet form. I have no doubt that it would be an audience pleaser, particularly in a lighter programme."
