Composed on commission in 2004 by the Netherlands Chamber Choir and the Chapter of the Winchester Cathedral, this is a setting of text from Canto XXXIII of Dante's Il Paradiso. It was first performed in October 2004 by the Netherlands Chamber Choir conducted by Stephen Layton. For mixed choir a cappella, with piano accompaniment for rehearsal only.
