Written in 1823 while the precocious Felix Mendelssohn was but fourteen years of age, this unusual and impressive 'double' concerto represents a rather uncommon solo pairing in the concerto world - that of piano and violin - brimming with exciting solo passages and beautiful melodies that combine to create a wonderful overall experience.

MMO proudly presents this learning and performance edition featuring piano virtuoso Adrien Oetiker performing alongside master violinist Mario Hossen and Les Orpheistes Chamber Orchestra of Vienna. Study Mr. Oetiker's performance, then as he steps aside you can take center stage with the orchestra and Mr. Hossen for a truly thrilling performance! Includes an authoritative performance edition of the piano part, newly engraved and printed on high-quality ivory paper. The 2 CDs contain the complete version of the concerto performance; followed by a second version minus the soloist; as well as a slow-tempo version of the accompaniments for practice purposes.
