Simple pieces for elementary string quartets or string orchestras of up to eight-parts. A piano part can be used to fill in for any missing players.  Once book is purchased, parts are photocopiable!

Designed to give beginners their first taste of group playing. Includes an optional very-easy violin part (open strings or first fingers only), and ideas for simple percussion and singing are also given.

The notes and rhythms used correspond to The Essential String Method books 1-3, making these ideal for using alongside the method, or independently.  If using alongside, players should be on Book 3 of the method before tackling these ensemble pieces.

Reviews
