“Jascha Nemtsov presents himself as a worthy descendant of Liszt and his pupils”, so the German magazine Fono Forum wrote of the pianist. Nemtsov is a Russian Jewish pianist who specializes in performing Jewish art music and Russian music of the 20th century, particularly works by Dmitri Shostakovich.

It is fitting that he has been chosen by Profil to perform the 24 Preludes by Shostakovich and 24 preludes by Vsevolod Zaderatsky which here receive their world premiere recording.
