Sonata for Oboe & Piano

This sonata for oboe and piano is in 3 movements - "Fuganought", "Reverauld" and "Obotics".

Lasting 15 minutes, this is a unique piece for the modern oboist. The neo-classical first movement in a fugato style contrasts with the second, a rich jazz-influenced ballad. The last movement in a brisk 6/8 metre evolves from a minimalist beginning to an almost gospel-tinged exciting climax.

For medium and advanced players, this is definitely not standard oboe material!
