The 1922 version of Les Noces has an important place in Stravinsky's ballet output. It marks the end of his Russian period, and the beginning of his neo-classic period. Les Noces was composed after the three main Russian period ballets, The Firebird, Petroushka, and The Rite Of Spring. Scored for Soli, Chorus, 4 Pianos and Percussion. Duration c. 35 minutes.
