Philip Glass The Olympian Lighting of the Torch. Along with many other great American composers drawn from all musical genres, Philip Glass was commissioned by the 1984 Olympic Committee to write a work for performance at the spectacular opening ceremony of the Games in Los Angeles that summer. Originally scored for orchestra and voices,The Olympian was among the more memorable and original contributions. It is now available for the first time arranged for Piano or Keyboard.
