"I’ve always felt pretty good about the basic blues but the jazz blues arena was just a little beyond me. Then I ran across this book and am I ever glad I found it! The explanations given for each example are very easy to understand and it feels so good to finally know that I’m making progress. Each section is a topic in itself so you don’t have to feel like you have to go through the whole thing to get it. For example, the Comping section gives so much information about things to do when playing chords, it’s awesome! So you can spend a lot of time with that and then sometime down the road when you have more time you can check out another section (topic) in the book. This is one of the best instructional books I have ever seen!"

" I've always loved the blues, but the good, jazzy blues was always a little beyond me. When I ran across this book, I found that the explanations in it were easy to understand. I'm finally getting the hang of it!
Each topic is sectioned for easy browsing, and each section is a wealth of information. This allows people to focus on the types of playing that THEY are interested in, and also allows for branching out in different directions and styles. Suffice to say, this is one of the best instructional books I've ever seen!
