This book consists of 25 late intermediate pieces from the five musical style periods. The pieces included aim to provide a helpful transition from method books and early intermediate repertoire to classics at the intermediate level. By studying pieces from Bartok, Chopin, Scarlatti, Diabelli and Debussy, amongst others, pupils learn to apply stylistic principles to their music. Each piece appears in its original form, and in some cases editorial suggestions are provided.
