An operatic entertainment for young people following the traditional ‘Punch and Judy’ with music and libretto by Michael Hurd. Costumes and presentation can be simple or elaborate; accompaniment can be either by piano (piano duet) or classroom instruments (glockenspiel, side drum, cymbal and xylophone parts can be found in the score). Scored for unison chorus plus a minimum of four soloists who play the eight, treble roles.
The nine songs include ‘Scaramouch’s Fiddle Song’, ‘Judy’s Lullaby’ and ‘Policeman’s Song And Duet’. 30 mins.
