Ma Navu is known internationally as an Israeli folk dance. The melody's graceful flowing line is especially elegant in this setting for women's voices in four parts (SSAA) and piano.

The opening unison melody returns three more times with each successive verse adding a new voice of harmony. One verse of text is utilized throughout the piece. The accompaniment, of easy to moderate difficulty, changes with each verse. Unrelated to a particular holiday, this piece can be performed any time during the year. This arrangement was written for the March 1995 concert of the White Heron Chorale directed by Richard Bjella of Lawrence University.
