This edition has been prepared from the only extant source, a contemporary manuscript belonging to the library of the 'Conservatoire Royal de Musique' in Brussels. The two flute solos appear as nos.123 and 124 in Alfred Wotquenne's thematic catalogue of C.P.E. Bach's works.
