"Here we go again books of "popular" arrangements!

There are a host of decent arrangers chosen for this collection but as we have seen in the past the arrangements that have been selected are typically underwhelming. Why do publishing houses insist on asking people who are classically trained to edit collections that are "popular"? For example Kirby Shaw has published over 2500 arrangements for choirs and in this collection we are graced with "Goodnight Sweetheart"!?!?!?!? This wasn't even a good doo-wop song! How the hell did this song make it into the collection. Oh I know.... all the arrangements were pre chosen and Ralph just had to put his name to it...Duh stupid me. Surely Ralph Allwood wouldn't have chosen such a lame-ass collection of arrangements from a group of otherwise talented arrangers?! Please tell me that's what happened."
