Book 2 of this series is approximately Grade 1-2 standard. It contains a variety of attractive tunes, but is more than just an easy anthology - the underlying approach is "learn as you play", and there is a carefully devised groundplan of technical development. All the pieces are in first position. The piano accompaniments are deliberately simple.
