The Vivaldi Edition, originally conceived by world-renowned musicologist Alberto Basso and the independent label Naive, is one of the most ambitious recording projects of the 21st century.
The objective of this project, which began in 2000 and is set to continue until 2015, is simple: to record the vast collection of Vivaldi's music manuscripts which have been preserved at the National library of Turin: some 450 works in all!
This collector's item includes Vivaldi's operas, hundreds of concertos, orchestral works and cantatas, the majority of which have not been heard since the 18th century.
Undoubtedly a treasure chest for all Vivaldi lovers.
