James Macmillan: Give me justice

(May 2008)

News_9790060120176.jpg Intro for the 5th Sunday of Lent: Vocal Score.

This simple yet haunting piece for mixed voices a capella is suitable for choirs of all abilities. The refrain sets the title text in English and in two parts (unison Soprano and Tenor, and unison Alto and Bass); in contrast, the Latin verse and doxology are chanted in four parts.
A recording is also available by Capella Nova (director: Alan Tavener) on Linn Records (CKD 301).
