Karl Jenkins: The Madness of Morion! for organ
(October 2010)
A witty and entertaining piece with outer jaunty sections framing a short, ruminative central passage. The composer comments: "In the Welsh coastal village of Penclawdd where I grew up there were quite a few people named Morion. There was something quirky about most of them, although I hasten to add that none of them was actually mad! In an abstract way this piece reflects the character of my relation Morion, although there is no programme as such."
If you liked Trumpeting Organ Morgan then you will love this! Suitable for intermediate standard performers.
