Harmonika is a vibrant and spirited Israeli folksong. It achieved popularity during the settlement of the modern nation of Israel. The lyrics express a love for the land of Israel as well as for Israeli music and dance. It is easy to see why this song would have had great appeal for the early pioneers and emigres who were arriving ther to help build a new nation. This three part choral arrangement was originally created for middle school chorus. The voice parts are naturally comfortable for most middle school singers and can accommodate multiple combinations of boys' and girls' voices in various stages of vocal development.
