Goldschmidt's music is currently enjoying an international resurgance in interest with many of his works being performed and recorded. Like many Jewish composers, his music was banned in Germany and Austria by the Third Reich. Written in 1926, this substantial 3 movement piece has been described by the composer as 'a minute reflection of Berlin's atmosphere in the 1920s'.

Press Reviews

"Three lucidly written movements, technically very grateful, full of individuality, theatrically effective, not overly difficult .... this piece will be welcomed by pianists looking for a shortish 20th century sonata"
