Louis Andriessen: Rosa's Horses

Louis Andriessen introduces his new orchestral suite, Rosa's Horses, with music drawn from his operatic collaboration with Peter Greenaway and arranged by Clark Rundell. 

Andriessen's 'horse opera' ROSA, with libretto and scenario by Peter Greenaway, was premiered at the Netherlands Opera in 1994 and was released on CD by Nonesuch. The new suite Rosa's Horses is premiered at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam on 18 May 2013 in the Zaterdag Matinee series with the Netherlands Radio Chamber Orchestra conducted by Clark Rundell.
