The Rose of Sharon is a relatively easy, yet effective, setting of oft-used lines from the Song of Solomon. Though calling for SATB choir, voice parts are predominantly in unison, or in doubling of two parts. Melodic lines are lovely and lyrical, yet simple and understated. The keyboard plays a major role throughout the piece.
