This four movement Missa Brevis (Kyrie, Sanctus, Gloria and Agnus Dei) is full of multicultural influences with deep roots in the dance. Drawing from Bulgarian rhythm and melodic contour, Turkish finger cymbals, mandolin figures of bluegrass waltzes, plainsong chant and the Peking Opera this is a fresh and exciting look at a traditional musical form.
